Massimo Squilloni Shidō (Florence, 1955) lives in Florence and is married with two daughters.

He graduated in Church History under Michele Ranchetti, and is registered with the Board of Psychologists of the Tuscany Region.

Since 1987 he has been a disciple of the Zen Master Engaku Taino, who founded (in 1973) and runs the Scaramuccia Bukkosan Zenshinji Buddhist Temple, Linchi School of Chàn. The Temple is located close to Orvieto.

He was ordained a monk in 1996 with the name Shidō by the Master Engaku Taino, and was later attributed the title of “Dharma Master”.
